Beetlecats Hand Shamrocks 4-2 Loss
The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats scooped up a win at McCormick Field, dumping the Pacifica Shamrocks, 4-2. Miguel Garcia, who is tied for 3rd in the RAA with a 1.14 WHIP, was essential to his team's success. Garcia, now 4-5, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. The Shamrocks, at 26-66, have lost 6 straight games.

Buzzard's Bay used a well-timed hit by Eddy Velasco to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Beetlecats ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

Said losing manager : "I think Susan Sarandon said it, 'Hit it where they ain't.' We didn't do a very good job of that tonight."
