Pipe Fitters Earn Late Win
The Carson City Mustang got a sterling performance from pitcher Tyler Frasier, but the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters still prevailed, 5-4. Frasier threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball. The win was credited to Jeff Raether in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Matt Nicholas took the loss. The second-place Pipe Fitters improved to 54-38.

Niagara Falls used a timely hit from Carlos Aispuro to get the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Pipe Fitters ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We were the better team," crowed Aispuro.
