Clearwater third baseman Bill Sawyer picked up 4 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Fraser Valley Black Bears, 8-7. At 58-38, Clearwater is in first place in the TML AA Jim Leyland Division.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Sawyer delivered big-time for Clearwater, stroking a dramatic 3-run home run off Tommy Spezia. The game-changing hit put the Seagulls on top, 8-5.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Sawyer told the Clearwater Herald.
