Seagulls Bang Out 8-2 Win Versus Boise
The Clearwater Seagulls beat the Boise Hawks, 8-2, at Chapman Field. Clearwater shortstop Joe White had an outstanding performance. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Ruben Anaya picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Tatsuhi Naki, who is tied for 8th in the RAA with a 7.9 K/9 rate, was tagged with the loss. Clearwater is now 40-45, Boise 41-43.

Early in the game, White had a 2-run home run for Clearwater. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Seagulls on top, 2-0.

After the game, White refused to speak to a reporter for the Clearwater Observer. "You've accused me of throwing teammates under the bus," he said. "So, excuse me if I decline to answer your questions."
