Windsor Royals starter Diego del Moral pitched effectively against the Boston Whitecaps at Windsor Grounds. The right-hander spearheaded his team's 4-3 win. Matt Daniello earned the save, his 2nd, for the Royals. The win lifted the Windsor record to 64-36.

Windsor took a 4-3 lead on Mel Brace's 9th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Brace hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Boston pitcher Tim Rae visibly frustrated.

"Nice, tidy little win," Brace said after the game.
