The Clearwater Seagulls defeated the Wauwatosa Indians, 9-6, at Chapman Field. Clearwater second baseman Shane Burt had a superb performance. He went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. Scott Perciavalle recorded the save, his 20th. With the win, the Seagulls improved to 61-39.

With Clearwater leading 2-0 in the bottom of the third, Burt hit a fastball from Kaoru Sakamoto for a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Seagulls ahead, 6-0.

"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Clearwater skipper Ayub Ndadaye.
