The Silicon Valley Hackers topped the Kelowna Rockets, 7-2, in RCL AA action at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. The standout performance belonged to Silicon Valley pitcher and Mexico City, Mexico, native Manny Vega. Silicon Valley is now 56-48, Kelowna 43-60.

Silicon Valley won the game in part because of Alex Valdez. The third baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Hackers ahead, 3-0. For the game, Valdez had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"It was a solid team effort," said Valdez after the game.
