The Evanston Bishops besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Carson City designated hitter Gary Coffman by beating the Mustang, 6-5, at Cowboys Stadium. Coffman was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Kyle Ott snagged the win in relief. He goes to 5-6 on the season. John Nesmith suffered the loss. Bobby Jones was called on to finish, recording his 8th save.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Montae Zambello? The 27-year old catcher Zambello stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Evanston up, 6-5. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Zambello. "But I have better dreams after a win."

The Bishops improved their record to 63-42 by beating Carson City.
