Adirondack Lumberjacks starter Hugo Flores hurled his team past the Pacifica Shamrocks, 8-1. Flores yielded 1 run over 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 6, and struck out 3. His record improves to 7-5. The defeat makes Pacifica 20-70.

Justin Scott had a big 2-run double for the Lumberjacks in the bottom of the third inning. With Adirondack leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Raul Ramirez and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Lumberjacks ahead, 3-0.

"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said Flores.
