There was no shortage of dramatics at The Swamp.
The Louisiana Crocodiles picked up a win at The Swamp, knocking off the Beaumont Drillers, 5-4, in 10 innings. On the mound for Louisiana was right-hander Danny Siwek. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. Reliever Nate Pace picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Jonathan Huitt, who is tied for 4th in the RAA in holds with 7, took the loss.
The Crocodiles got a clutch hit from first baseman David Surrett. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Crocodiles.
"Sweet win for us, tough loss for them," said Siwek.
This loss makes it 6 in a row for Beaumont.
