Bishops Deal Beehive Painful Loss
FUBU Field was the site of quite a ballgame.

Bishops designated hitter Travis Brackett put his stamp on his team's 5-4 win over the Madison Beehive. Brackett went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Evanston in the contest. The win was credited to 28-year old right-handed pitcher Antonio Hernandez in relief. His record improves to 5-2. Ben Sylvester took the loss.

Ernie Byrd was the walk-off hero for Evanston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bishops pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"On the outside I was calm," said Bishops manager Harold Planter. "But inside I was a nervous wreck."

The Bishops improved to 62-42.
