Slumping Black Bears Lose Again
The DeKalb Cornhuskers had to overcome a big game from Fraser Valley designated hitter Roy Rudolph to leave The Corn Crib with a victory. And they did, winning, 5-4. Rudolph went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. DeKalb pitcher Kenny Gill got the win. He's now 1-0. Adam DeVoe was tagged with the loss. Kenny Hoyles recorded the save for DeKalb, his 2nd of the season.

Right Fielder Lynn Baxter made an impact for DeKalb, when he swatted a 2-run home run off Adam DeVoe in the bottom of the second. For the contest, Baxter went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
