The first-place Rock River Rats took on the DeKalb Cornhuskers in front of a spirited crowd.

DeKalb center fielder Alfredo Castro had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 8-5, to Rock River at The Rat Hole. Castro went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The save went to Lee Pearl, number 19 for him.

Bobby Estrada went 1-4 for Rock River. The 26-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Jon Luciano. It was his 33rd RBI of the season.

"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Estrada.

The win makes Rock River 67-42.
