Led by 23-year-old Harry Beauman, the Clearwater Seagulls downed the Madison Beehive, 10-6. Beauman went 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Clearwater. Roberto Baez picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 6 runs on 5 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 2-0. Dave Mendez earned the save for Clearwater, his 1st of the year.
Had Joe White not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, White hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Seagulls.
