Rams Victorious at Silicon Valley, 8-6
|
Behind a solid performance from third baseman Matt Mulholland, the Frisco Rams defeated the Silicon Valley Hackers, 8-6. Mulholland was 2-5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Rams. Cory Moore snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 5 hits over 2.1 innings. He's now 1-1 on the season. Carey Leblanc earned the save, his 4th in 4 tries.
With Frisco leading 6-5 in the top of the seventh, Mulholland hit a splitter from Alex Caballero for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Rams ahead, 8-5.
"We played hard and won," said Mulholland. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
Frisco is now 43-52.
