Mountaineers Win in Glorious Fashion, 8-7
The Black Mountain Mountaineers defeated the Windsor Royals, 8-7, in part because of first baseman Norm Owen. Owen went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Mountaineers. The Mountaineers improved to 46-49.

The decisive blow was delivered by Andrew Buckley in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run double off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Chris Campbell to win the game for Black Mountain. The home crowd went nuts.

"That was a lot of fun, watching both teams compete," said Mountaineers manager Mario Encarnación.
