Despite a great performance by Moose Jaw second baseman Gabe Lesesne, the Beaumont Drillers defeated the Canucks by the score of 6-5 at Ashton Gate. Lesesne was 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Mike LaRiviere earned the save for Beaumont, his 4th. The 4th-place Drillers now sit at 53-62.

Beaumont first baseman Luis Reyes helped the Drillers go up, 3-2, in the top of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Reyes hit a run-scoring single off Moose Jaw pitcher Andy Kellar.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Reyes.
