Spartans Walk Off with 8-7 Win
The 8-7 Sandy Springs win over Spokane was due in large part to Noah Carr. The Spartans first baseman was 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 3 times. The last-place Bulldogs dropped to 36-65.

The Spartans were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 24-year old center fielder Brian Stokes landed a big blow. He turned a first pitch fastball from Zbynek Petruzalek into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the The Coliseum denizens into a frenzy and sent the Spartans home with a thrilling 8-7 win.

"We played hard and won," said Carr. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
