Sanchez Stops Niagara Falls Cold, Bishops Win, 9-0
Jesus Sanchez bent a little, but he didn't break against the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters. The Evanston Bishops pitcher hurled a 7-hit, 9-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering 3 walks and tallying 9 strikeouts.

"Jesus is good at getting out of jams," Bishops manager Harold Planter told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you."

His stats sheet for the year shows Sanchez has managed to hold opponents to a .260 average in 16 relief appearances, while putting up 3-3 record with 42 strikeouts and 21 walks in 54.2 innings. He has a 4.12 ERA with 5 saves.
