DeKalb pitcher John Kibler did his part in helping his team beat the Evanston Bishops, 6-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Kibler got the win, improving to 2-4. He gave up 2 hits and walked 5 over 5 innings. He allowed 1 run. The loss makes Evanston 69-50.
Brendan Hill took Evanston hurler Symão Alegro deep in the bottom of the fourth. His 2-run home run put the Cornhuskers on top, 3-1. In all, Hill had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"John did a nice job," said Cornhuskers manager Trey Burrell.
