Monarchs Take Tight Tangle
The Monarchs earned a hard-fought, 6-5 win in 10 innings at Mitts Fieldhouse. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Windsor pitcher Mike Stultz. Stultz went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs. Carlos Rivera, credited with the win in relief, is now 3-3. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 0.1 innings. Marysville now sports a record of 37-85.

The Monarchs got a clutch hit from designated hitter Sam Howell. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Monarchs.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Marysville field general Angel Gareia.
