Black Mountain and Marysville duked it out and the Mountaineers came out victorious.
The Black Mountain Mountaineers saddled the Marysville Monarchs with a loss at Mitts Fieldhouse. The final score was 6-3. Scott Truesdale was 3 for 4, including 2 singles and 1 home run. The Black Mountain left fielder scored 1 run and drove in 3. Ron Larson collected his 23rd save.
With Black Mountain leading 3-2 in the top of the fifth, Truesdale hit a fastball from Gabe Garza for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Mountaineers ahead, 5-2.
Truesdale attributed the win to his team's "determination."
The loss makes Marysville 46-62.
