The Evanston Bishops defeated the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters, 15-5, at Pipe Fitters Park. Evanston designated hitter Art Long had a superb performance. He was 1-4 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Niagara Falls's current losing streak is now 4 games.

With Evanston leading 1-0 in the top of the fifth, Long hit a fastball from Kelile Rashid for a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Bishops ahead, 4-0.

"We hit the ball on the barrel," said Evanston manager Harold Planter.
