The Frisco Rams overcame a pretty good performance by Louisiana first baseman Gary Russell, beating the Crocodiles, 7-6, at Outlander Park. Russell was 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Frisco reliever Dan Thompson picked up the win, upping his record to 8-9. Elijah Johnson took the loss. At 49-59, Frisco is in 6th place in the RCL AA Lou Piniella League.

Eric Woolsey helped out the Frisco cause in the bottom of the eighth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the left fielder was 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Woolsey, "but we got it done."
