Ottman Excels in 14-6 Clearwater Win
The Clearwater Seagulls beat the Wichita Wolverines, 14-6, at Howling Park. Clearwater second baseman David Ottman banged out 1 single and 3 doubles, while driving in 3 runs. Clearwater pitcher Roberto Baez got the win, upping his record to 5-0. Carlos Rotiz got the loss. Emilio Arroyo earned the save for Clearwater.

Harry Beauman had a big 2-run double for the Seagulls in the top of the second inning. With Clearwater leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a slider from 19-year old right-handed pitcher Carlos Rotiz and swatted a double to center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Seagulls ahead, 3-0.

"We're not exactly playing great right now," said Abel Keller, the Wichita manager.

At 57-52, Clearwater is in second place in the TML AA Jim Leyland Division.
