Casino Grounds was the site of a competitive game between the Roaring River Steelheads and Silicon Valley Hackers.

The Roaring River Steelheads got a superb performance from pitcher Steve Pisarek, but the Silicon Valley Hackers still won the game, 3-2. Pisarek threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The win belonged to Jesus Arguello in relief. His record improves to 6-0. Steve Pisarek took the loss for Roaring River. The save went to Hector Lopez, number 10 for him.

Silicon Valley won the game in part because of Dennis Roberts. The left fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Hackers ahead, 3-0. For the game, Roberts had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"We did the things it takes to win a ballgame," said Silicon Valley manager Brad Jones.

Silicon Valley is now 84-44.
