6-3 Loss Deepens Pacifica Funk
|
Marysville parlayed a decent outing from starter Chua-kah Bai into a solid win over the Pacifica Shamrocks. The final score was 6-3. Mario de la Cruz earned the save, his 8th in 8 tries. The last-place Shamrocks have dropped 7 straight games.
The Monarchs got a big at-bat from right fielder Miguel Landaverde. For the game, Landaverde was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Marysville a 2-0 lead.
"We've had a tough go of it," said Pacifica manager Jin-woo Pi. "But we'll snap out of this funk."
