Murraysville turned a fine outing from starter Steve Matkin into a victory over the Kelowna Rockets at Red Bull Stadium. The final score was 3-1. Picking up his 20th save was fireballing right-hander Jared Haney. The win has Murraysville at 50-79.

Murraysville took a 1-0 lead on Zack Levin's 10th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Levin hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Kelowna pitcher Luke Hopkins visibly frustrated.

"Steve is one tough son of a gun," said Murraysville manager Joseph Kelley.
