|
Murraysville pitcher Nick Tullo did his part in helping his team defeat the Kelowna Rockets, 5-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. In 5.2 innings, Tullo surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 4. He allowed no runs. Li-zhi Chung earned his 1st save, after closing out the game.
The tide might have turned in the top of the fifth, had not Nick Tullo made a big pitch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and the Rockets trailing 3-0, he retired Jonathan Reyes when the Kelowna designated hitter lined out.
The Rockets, at 55-75, have lost 4 straight games.
