Thanks in large part to third baseman Billy Zack, the Fraser Valley Black Bears beat the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats, 6-4. Zack went 2-4 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Armando Gimenez, credited with the save, is now 32 for 36 in save opportunities. Fraser Valley now sits at 57-55, while Buzzard's Bay falls to 76-36.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Joe Dion came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Buzzard's Bay pitcher Ryan Woller, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Fraser Valley on top, 5-4.
