Carroll Leads Drillers to Win
The Beaumont Drillers got a rain-soaked win over the Moose Jaw Canucks.

Behind the bravura of catcher Jim Carroll, the Beaumont Drillers topped the Moose Jaw Canucks by the score of 10-4. Carroll was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for the Drillers. Lorenzo Pagan earned the win to go to 2-2. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts in 6 innings of work.

With Beaumont leading 4-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Carroll came up to bat against Moose Jaw pitcher Xavier Capetillo. Carroll hit a sinker to left for a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season put the Drillers on top, 7-2.

"Jim was ready to go. Big day for him," said Beaumont manager Takuzo Kaneshiro.
