|
Windsor first baseman Gerald Lambruschini had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Lambruschini belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice, even as Kelowna beat the Royals, 4-3. Javier Rios, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2059 draft, was the winner. He's now 7-15. The loser was Patrick Woolley. The Rockets, at 56-77, sit in 5th place in the RCL AA Lou Piniella League.
Kelowna center fielder Joe Ranieri contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a sinker to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 40th hit of the season and put the Rockets ahead, 4-1.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Windsor manager Luis Hernández.
