Johnson goes 3-for-4 in Clearwater Win
Zach Johnson, who is tied for 5th in the TAA in doubles with 34, led Clearwater to a win over Sandy Springs. The final score was 7-6. Johnson scored 3 times, while going 3 for 4. The first baseman also was credited with 2 runs batted in. Clearwater reliever John Hunter picked up the win, upping his record to 3-6. Kevin Felson absorbed the loss. Rodolfo de Gante closed it out for Clearwater, earning his 6th save.

Clearwater used the timely hitting of Jesse Weinreb to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Seagulls on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Feels good to get the job done," Weinreb said after the game.

The Seagulls move to 83-50 with the win, while the Spartans drop to 74-59.
