The Hive was the site of a competitive game between the Madison Beehive and Wichita Wolverines.

The Wolverines earned a hard-fought, 4-2 win in 11 innings at The Hive. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Madison pitcher Leo Bolanos. Bolanos went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Wichita, now 48-87, holds down last place in the TML AA Jim Leyland Division.

Wichita won the game in part because of Ricardo Nunez. The first baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Wolverines ahead, 4-2. For the game, Nunez had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

Madison manager Harsha Majoo said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
