Roaring River Beats Adirondack, 6-2
|
Steve Pearcey was a vital contributor to the 6-2 Roaring River victory over Adirondack. The Steelheads right fielder was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times. Antonio Bredenberg earned the save for Roaring River, his 5th of the year. Roaring River, with the win, is 37-79.
Roaring River grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Pearcey hit a solo home run off Rod Horta. His 19th home run of the season put the Steelheads out in front, 2-1.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Pearcey told the Roaring River Today.
