Sad Sack Shamrocks Lose 8th Straight
|
The Windsor Royals got a magnificent effort from pitcher Steve Atkins, who kept Pacifica hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Royals win at Windsor Grounds. Pacifica has now lost 8 straight.
Windsor took the lead, 2-1, on Jason Reinert's 9th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Pacifica pitcher Bob Williams in the bottom of the eighth.
"Not to be Captain Obvious," said Pacifica manager Pedro Mercado, "but we need to push more runs across the plate."
