Buzzard's Bay third baseman Oscar Torres made his presence felt in the 11-6 Beetlecats triumph over the Fraser Valley Black Bears. Torres went 3-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The win elevated the Beetlecats to 62-54.

With Buzzard's Bay leading 7-6 in the top of the seventh, Torres hit a fastball from Brian Vale for a 3-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Beetlecats ahead, 10-6.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Torres told the Buzzard's Bay Observer.
