4-1 Triumph Takes Adirondack to 72-45
|
The Adirondack Lumberjacks and Roaring River Steelheads completed their game despite the inclement weather.
Adirondack picked up a win at Casino Grounds, bumping off the Roaring River Steelheads, 4-1. Pitcher Jeff Kappel was a major reason the Lumberjacks emerged victorious. The third-place Lumberjacks are now 72-45, the Steelheads 37-80.
Adirondack used the hitting of Eric Reiter to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Lumberjacks on top, 2-1. For the game, Reiter had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Reiter.
