Starting pitcher Jason Englert gave the DeKalb Cornhuskers a rock-solid effort. The West Bloomfield Township, Michigan native helped his team defeat the Sandy Springs Spartans, 1-0, at The Coliseum. In 5.2 innings, Englert surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. The Cornhuskers now own a record of 52-65.
