Pipe Fitters Pull Off Thrilling 5-4 Win in Extras
Niagara Falls beat Wichita at Howling Park, escaping with a 5-4 win in 10 innings. The win in large part was due to first baseman Byron Hogan. He went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winner was Brendon Wager in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Luis Segarra took the loss. At 70-46, Niagara Falls is in second place in the TML AA Jim Leyland Division.

Hogan had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 1-0 fastball from Luis Segarra, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Pipe Fitters a 5-4 lead. It was the 21st home run of the year for Hogan.

"We've got a great group of guys," Hogan said, "and we're having fun right now."
