Rockets Eke Out 5-4 Win Versus Pacifica
|
The Pacifica Shamrocks and Kelowna Rockets provided some drama for the home crowd.
The Kelowna Rockets topped the Pacifica Shamrocks, 5-4, in RCL AA action at McCormick Field. The standout performance belonged to Kelowna pitcher and Arden-Arcade, California, native Zach Clark. Clark got the win, improving to 8-9. He gave up 7 hits and walked 0 over 5.1 innings. He allowed 3 runs.
Kelowna used a clutch at-bat from Eddie Wooldridge to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Rockets ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Zach did a really nice job of taking the ball and giving us a chance to win the game," said Kelowna manager Antonio Moreno.
Kelowna is now 59-80, Pacifica 42-96.
