Niagara Falls pitcher Pedro Bedoy did his part in helping his team beat the Spokane Bulldogs, 5-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The third-place Pipe Fitters now sit at 72-48.

The Pipe Fitters got a big at-bat from center fielder Sam Bridgman. For the game, Bridgman was 1-4 with a double. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 12th double of the season gave Niagara Falls a 2-1 lead.

"We're one win closer to our goal," Bedoy said in postgame remarks.
