Hackers Deal Peacocks 7-5 Loss
The Silicon Valley Hackers outlasted the Murraysville Peacocks, 7-5, in 14 innings. Silicon Valley shortstop Danny Soto stood out with his performance. He went 4 for 7 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Juan Contreras claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. His record stands at 2-0. Willie Riojas earned his 1st save in 1 chances.

Dave Birch came through with a big-time hit for Silicon Valley. The first baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the 14th inning to give his team the lead, 7-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Hackers manager Brad Jones.
