The Sandy Springs Spartans were defeated, 3-0, by the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters at The Coliseum, even though Gomez Roches pitched well for Sandy Springs. Steve Hoefling picked up the save for Niagara Falls, his 10th of the year. The Pipe Fitters raised their record to 55-67.

Alex Dortillo had a direct impact on the outcome. Dortillo contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the eighth inning to put Niagara Falls up, 1-0.

Dortillo told a Niagara Falls Daily reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
