Bolivar slugs 2 home runs to Fuel Hackers Offense
|
Both offenses were relatively subdued at Red Bull Stadium. Fortunately for the Silicon Valley Hackers, though, Arturo Bolivar was able to deliver in the clutch. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice, to lead his team past the Murraysville Peacocks, 3-2. The winning pitcher was Ruben Rivas. He tossed 87 pitches over 5.1 innings, allowing no runs on 4 hits. The Hackers lead the RCL AA Lou Piniella League by 8½ games.
Silicon Valley took a 3-0 lead on Bolivar's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Alex McCarter in the top of the sixth, propelled Silicon Valley to the win.
"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Murraysville manager Joseph Kelley.
