The home crowd was treated to a thrilling, walk-off win.

Ted Illig impressed in the 5-4 Buzzard's Bay win over Kelowna. Illig, who is tied for 7th in the RAA with a .336 batting average, went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. By defeating Kelowna, the third-place Beetlecats improved to 66-78.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Buzzard's Bay trailing 4-1, Illig hit a slider from Roberto de Alba for a grand slam home run, giving the Beetlecats the walk-off win.

"The crowd was juiced," said Illig.
