11 Straight Wins for Whitecaps
The Boston Whitecaps eked out a 3-2 win versus the Sandy Springs Spartans at The Studio. Nobody did more than pitcher Angel Payan. He was terrific. Franklin Sprague wrapped it up, recording his 40th save. The Whitecaps raised their record to 76-47.

Boston took a 3-2 lead on Henry Pitcher's 25th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Pitcher hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Sandy Springs pitcher Matt Richards visibly frustrated.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Sandy Springs manager Rafael Alonso said, following the tough loss.
