The Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters easily defeated the Spokane Bulldogs, 18-2, at The Kennel, with center fielder Sam Bridgman a main contributor to the win. He was 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 7 for Niagara Falls. The win gives Niagara Falls a season record of 74-48.

With Niagara Falls leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Bridgman hit a fastball from John Felder for a grand slam home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Pipe Fitters ahead, 5-0.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Spokane manager Mark Alcock. "They laid the wood on us."
