Winters has 3 hits, Royals Move to 76-49
Windsor and DeKalb engaged in a slugfest.

A good performance from left fielder Michael Winters helped the Windsor Royals defeat the DeKalb Cornhuskers, 16-11. Winters was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2 for the Royals. Chris Campbell earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. His record is now 4-5.

Windsor used the clutch hitting of Bernaldo Coxinho to snag the win. The catcher drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Royals ahead, 16-11. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"We got the victory," said Coxinho. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."

The win puts Windsor at 76-49 this season.
