Wet weather did not postpone the Beaumont-Louisiana ballgame.

Drillers third baseman Stan Spencer left his mark on his team's 10-3 win over the Louisiana Crocodiles. Spencer was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs for Beaumont in the contest. The win went to George Romero in relief, making him now 3-5. Sam Marshall took the loss for Louisiana. Jamie Charles earned his 1st save, after closing out the game.

Beaumont used the timely hitting of Hector Bautista to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Drillers on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I thought we played some darn good baseball," said Drillers manager Takuzo Kaneshiro.

The Drillers raised their record to 49-77.
