Marlon Walton, who is tied for 2nd in the TAA in innings pitched with 234.0, had a strong outing for the Rock River Rats against the Sandy Springs Spartans at The Coliseum. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 10-3 win. The first-place Rats, at 91-56, now lead their division by 5 games.

Amlak Sang had a big bases-clearing double for the Rats in the top of the fourth inning. With Rock River leading 4-3 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from Patrick Perillo and swatted a double to center. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rats ahead, 7-3.

"Marlon was throwing free and easy," said Rock River manager Shunso Sato.
