Silicon Valley beat Beaumont in a rain-soaked ballgame.
Silicon Valley Hackers starter Bobby Hurt turned in an exceptional performance against the Beaumont Drillers at Drillers Stadium, resulting in a Silicon Valley win, 6-2. The RCL AA Lou Piniella League-leading Hackers are 93-55.
It could have been a different outcome for Silicon Valley, had it not been for Danny Soto, the 23-year old shortstop . Soto contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put Silicon Valley up, 3-0.
Said losing manager Takuzo Kaneshiro: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
