The Windsor Royals got a superb performance from pitcher Bill Stevenson, but the Clearwater Seagulls still won the game, 4-3. Stevenson threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball. The Seagulls now have a record of 64-66 with the win over Windsor.

Clearwater took a 4-3 lead on Griffin Matte's 12th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Matte hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Windsor pitcher Chris Campbell visibly frustrated.

Matte called the win "a team effort."
